Our economy and business environment is constantly changing and evolving. The truly successful entrepreneurs are constantly growing and changing with the times.
When I was in graduate school and someone first started talking about email, that sounded so foreign. Now I live on my email. In fact, it is so common to use email now that a hand written or typed letter is the exception rather than the rule. We changed with the times and technology.
The people who will suffer the most in this economy are the people with only one skill. Take a close look at yourself and your skill sets. How many marketable skills do you possess?
If the only thing you knew how to do was type and take dictation, you would be at a loss right now. When I was first teaching, we taught shorthand. That is obsolete now. You could still use it once in awhile to take fast notes during a lecture; however, most people will have their laptop and type quickly.
Don't wish for less challenges; learn more skills to deal effectively with each challenge
