I Hear Frustration Everywhere These Days….

I hear frustration everywhere these days - primarily financial. That is certainly understandable with an uncertain stock market, job losses, companies pleading for bailout or even worse, just closing their doors. These are certainly trying times for most of America.
There is hope. The best source of hope is absolutely in your control. It is your own attitude about your situation. You can whine, complain and feel sorry for yourself. Or you can view it as an opportunity to change paths in your life and grow in a new direction. You are probably thinking, "Yeah, but she doesn't know my situation." Don't be too quick to brush me off. I have been there too. I remember very clearly being so broke that I didn't know how I would put food on the table for 2 little boys. No help from family and no child support either.
I made up my mind that if it was to be, it was up to me. I stepped so far out of my comfort zone that I couldn't see far enough backward to find the outside edge of it. This is not only a time of extreme debt, it is a time of exceptional opportunity.
Success really is a matter of choice. It is a firm decision to overcome the odds; burn the ships (if you remember the example of the explorer who sailed to a foreign shore and directed his men to burn the boats. Turning back was not an option.) Many Americans are at precisely that point right now.
How steady are your success legs? Are you strong and fit? Are you determined and focused on your goal? Are you weak, wobbly and ready to give up? The choice really is yours.
You and your family deserve a great life. This may be the time to strengthen your success legs and start taking baby steps or giant steps. No matter what size steps you take, the important thing is to start taking action. Nothing happens until something moves.
It is all in your attitude. Do you have a positive attitude? Whether you say you can or you can't, you are right. I encourage you to say not only that you can but that you will. Take it from one who has been down there and came out on the sunny side. If I can do it, so can you.
Come on America, lets develop our success legs. Lets come out of this economy as winners.

Mother Is Synonymous With Tireless……..

Mother is synonymous with tireless, unselfish giving. She is on call 24-7-365 for years. Zero financial pay but an endless supply of pure love.

If we brought the same dedication and service to others to the work environment, we would have a more cooperative atmosphere. Probably more productive also. It is so easy to slip into the mindset of “what’s in it for me” rather than “how can I make a positive difference for all of us.”

I have worked with many companies and many individuals in my professional life. You always hear, and I believe it to be true, that the culture starts at the top and flows through the organization. This has proven to be my experience as well. Never before in my life have I worked with 2 men who exemplify the spirit of genuine giving and service to others more than Kip and Karl . These 2 men walk the talk about truly caring about, appreciating and working with the consultants. This truly is a business partnership encompassing all the company members. In this case it isn’t a mother’s love but a father’s guiding hand.

I challenge you to do something positive for someone today with the absolute knowing that they could never pay you back. Lets carry the mother’s spirit of caring and giving into all aspects of our life.

Entitlement Mentality

With the entitlement mentality, many expect someone else to take charge and do it for them. With weight loss, they want to do it with a pill rather than change their food intake and exercise routine. So many people expect someone or something else to do it for them. Even our healthcare has become an entitlement issue. There are far too many who expect the government to pay for their healthcare rather than taking responsibility for their decisions. Smoking, drinking too much, eating junk food (the recession obesity mentality – more food for less money even if it is all bad for you), and too many desserts all contribute to the pounds on the body.

Our business or even our job reflects the same thought pattern. We expect someone else to make the decisions for us and tell us what to do or not do. It is so much easier to blame someone else than look in the mirror and take ownership of the result and improve it. Look seriously at yourself and your own thought pattern. Are you actively thinking and taking action to make your life better?

Health and finances are easy to measure. Look in the mirror. How do you look and feel? How badly do you want it to be different? What are you willing to do to make that improvement? Books, mentors, companies, and all of the motivational material in the world do not make any changes in your life unless you decide to change. Once you make a firm decision, then form a plan and start taking positive action to achieve the result you desire.

I have over 30 years of professional success in brick and mortar business and network marketing businesses. Ask me questions and I will respond to you.

I’m very good at many things, but mindreading is not one of them. Ask me questions and I will give you straight answers.

Have an awesome day. Make the decision and take action today. It is your life and your choices.

Discover Your Genius

In order to gain the maximum potential from my life, I have been paying close attention to my feelings and energy as well as my preferences.

We each have one special gift or ability. This ability or talent is something we do better than any one else. In some circles, this is called our genius. I know most of you think of genius as Einstein genius or Mozart genius. Instead celebrate the special gifts you possess.

Don’t know how to find your genius? Pay attention to how you feel when you are going about your day to day activities. What are you doing when you feel the most fulfilled? When do you feel the happiest? What are you doing when time just flies by and disappears? When an athlete is “in the zone” or when an artist is so focused that they do not see anything happening around them, they are ”in their genius.” What are you doing and feeling when you feel empowered and productive and blissful?

Now also pay attention to the activities or events which seem to drag on. What activities or events seem to drain the energy out of you? When do you have that itch to get up and go do something else – anything else? Those are absolutely “non-genius” activities.

Refine it a little further. What activities or events are you engaging in when you feel not only energized and happy but also productive? What combination brings you fulfillment as well as being income producing? This is where you concentrate your focus and time.

Never put off until tomorrow what you can delegate today. Seriously, the best business decision is to focus your time and energy in your genius and delegate the other tasks to someone else who has a genius in those other areas. Most people spend far too much time in low production areas and not enough time focusing on what they do best. Yes, everything must be done, but if you spend your time doing what you do best and delegate the other tasks to someone else who loves to do those other things, everyone profits emotionally and financially.

Attracting Highly Qualified Leaders

Probably my biggest frustration is attracting enough highly qualified prospects to my business.
The first issue is highly qualified. I know that if I have the opportunity to speak to enough highly qualified people, I will attract leaders and producers into my business. This has been proven over the years in several different businesses. Leaders and producers want to work with leaders and producers. No top level business person seeks out the inexperienced newbie to join his/her team. That is just a fact. Even Aaron Parkinson said that when he attended his first live event he sat with someone who said they had been in x number of months and did not have a sale. Aaron got up, picked up his food, politely excused himself and left.
Noted business experts have stated that there is never a long line waiting to speak to the person at the bottom of the mountain.
People want to work with successful leaders. Until I had success of my own, I leveraged the success of my sponsor. If you and your sponsor are both new then leverage the success of your sponsor’s sponsor. If necessary, go all the way up the chain and leverage Jay and Aaron. People want to work with someone who knows how to “get it done.”

Once you have your own success story, the next step is absolutely self-branding. You can do that in any number of ways: web 2.0 (social networking) where your picture, your video, your story, your voice create an image of you as a person and a leader. Social networking is the “new kid on the block.” It is the new media for reaching out and touching vast numbers of people. Is there a learning curve? Of course. Every form of marketing has a learning curve. If you don’t believe that, you are either genius or delusional. How long or short that learning curve depends on your prior experience, desire to plunge in and learn, and perhaps your financial ability to seek qualified help to shorten the curve. In any case, you want to attract top quality. In order to attract top quality, you must be top quality.
Everyone has strong points. Learn to bring yours out in such a way that others will be attracted to you. You have successes in your life. You have accomplishments. Express them openly and honestly. Don’t embellish, but don’t put yourself down either. Be honest. Look at yourself through objective eyes and see yourself for the great person that you are. Others will be attracted to honesty and accomplishment. Whatever you have already accomplished is still a goal of someone reading your story or seeing your video. Don’t be afraid to express your goals. They will follow you not only for where you have been but also where you are going.
The world constantly alternates between a desire for quality and quantity. Once you have the quality, expand what you are doing to attract more quantity. Keep going, never quit. Tweak the process. Do more of whatever works best. Sounds simple, it is basic.
